Reflections on the Poems

Wow!  I must say these poems were impeccable, yet I would have rather been able to pick my own to read.  I saw so many poems in there that I really wanted to read but were not on our lists.  I was also familiar with many of the authors already.  The most recent one I learned about was John Donne who writes Holy Sonnets.  That was a good thing to know going into the reading for this one.  Therefore, I could deduce from the beginning of the reading that it was going to have something to do with a relation to God and possibly and obstacle.  Donne has real specific reasons he uses a certain punctuation mark, which becomes something to not over look in the Holy Sonnets.  In the end I feel the poem meant the the author was caught by Satin and was being held captive.  He could not get out of it unless God himself rebuilt his life all over again.
